Drummer Boy Camping Resort

This was my second stay and I really enjoy this campground. My first stay (last year) was 3 days, this year was 4 days. My kids love the pool here. It's great for all ages. The cabins are nice, simple, and always clean. They utilize the space well. Unfortunately the AC in our cabin did not work well this year and there were no ceiling fans in the bedrooms so sleep was difficult. Our family was also looking forward to fishing this year at the pond but it was covered in algae. It was so frustrating trying to fish and constantly having to pick sludge off the fishing line and hooks. However, we did manage to catch bass, bluegill, and a catfish- so it was still memorable. Despite these 2 issues, it was a great trip and we do plan to go back again. The atmosphere of this campground is welcoming, relaxing, and safe.

I had left diamond earrings in our cabin. I called and spoke with Julie. Not only did she find them, but she literally went the extra miles to bring them to my home! Kudos to Drummer Boy for hiring such an extraordinary girl like Julie!!! Thank you so much again, Julie!!

We have been to a handful of the camp grounds around the york and surrounding areas and Drummer boy is a must! The sites are nice, the pools are awesome esp the slide, and the mini golf was a great memory. They have full hook ups at many of the sites. If your in the area make sure this is on your list.

Loved pull through sites next time we want to rent a golf cart to tour all of the campgrounds loved the golf cart parade!!! Would advice anyone who wants to camp at Gettysburg go here. They were so friendly in the office too. Love love loved our stay there

It's okay. The pools are very beautiful but the amount of smokers at the pool makes it pretty miserable when you have severe asthma. It's unfortunate they allow smoking at the pools because we can't enjoy them. The major road nearby is VERY loud. We also didn't realize you need a golf cart here, so getting around such a large campground without one has been hard. The campground is 90%+ seasonal sites. It's well kept, but our family prefers smaller and quieter campgrounds, so we probably won't return.

As a Thousand Trails member it is difficult to get into this Campground. We don't use the campground amenities but we like the location. Very close to Gettysburg and all the historical sites. Most sites are really good and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They have activities even into late October

The campground was nice. We went in the fall so the pools were closed but the trees were turning colors so it was pretty. The cabins were clean and had things we needed to cook. Only downfall was you can hear traffic noise.

Maintenance was somewhat lacking in areas like bathrooms and laundries, and some of the streets were fairly well rutted. Otherwise a decent, but noisy Park. An exception was an employee, Rich, that helped to untangle a serious billing issue. This employee is five star.
